Max Hemmings

Max used to work in restaurants before he made films cos he grew up in them, his first word was “mineral water” but he always used to draw so that’s sort of a standard progression to making films really but there was this one kid back in primary school in Sydney from Japan, his name was Yuichi Fukuda and he was really good at drawing too and the poor bastard could hardly speak a word of English but bloody hell could he do a Super Saian and he had the more manga style and Max was more about dinosaurs and monsters and they became best friends but also rivals in drawing, and one birthday Yuichi came over and his mum had bought a GI Joe for him to give as a present but Yuichi said, “you can have the GI Joe, or you can have two of my drawing books”, and weirdly enough Max went for the books now call it espionage or foresight but Max reckons he chose right and he’s still got those drawing books to this day and if anyone knows where to get in touch with Yuichi, Max would love to know if he’s still got the GI Joe.
